Are you searching for meaningful, mother-centred birth support?
Birth has the capacity to be a joyful rite of passage! My care is holistically based and entirely lead by you -the mother. I honour your choices throughout your pregnancy and birthing time and do not make decisions for you regarding your health and mother-lead wisdom.
My offerings for birth are for families in Ottawa and the surrounding valley. My support follows you throughout your pregnancy with prenatal visits, labour and birth attendance, and follow-up postpartum visits. I do not attend births with regulated providers such as midwives and I exclusively work with women who are planning a homebirth outside of the medical system -known also as unassisted birth or freebirth.
Alyssa Bombay
Born and raised in Ottawa, I have been firmly grounded in this community my whole life. I have a clear passion for attending women and families having homebirths outside of the medical system, and have chosen to walk this path as a traditional homebirth attendant because of my deep belief in undisturbed, physiological birthing free from obstetrical protocols.
I have three wonderful children - two of whom I've welcomed in my home surrounded only by family on my bedroom floor.
Additionally, I have participated in birth education facilitated by wise women supporting birth outside the system, including learning based on trauma-informed care.
